Opis szkolenia
The two-day Advanced Life Support (ALS) course offers an intensive and hands-on learning experience designed to equip future doctors with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to manage cardiac arrest and life-threatening emergencies. Guided by ERC-certified instructors, participants will combine theoretical understanding with practical team-based scenarios that mirror real-life hospital situations.
The course follows the latest European Resuscitation Council Guidelines and culminates in an official ERC certification upon successful completion.
The first day focuses on establishing a strong foundation in the principles of advanced resuscitation. Participants begin with an introduction to the chain of survival and the essential concepts of adult cardiac arrest management.
Practical workshops provide hands-on experience in Basic Life Support (BLS) and use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Students then progress to mastering airway management, including the use of oropharyngeal and supraglottic devices and effective bag-mask ventilation techniques.
The afternoon sessions explore cardiac arrest algorithms and the structured approach to identifying and treating both shockable and non-shockable rhythms. Learners put theory into practice during team-based simulations, where they begin developing communication, coordination, and leadership skills within a resuscitation team.
The day concludes with a reflective debrief, allowing participants to consolidate their learning and receive feedback from experienced instructors.
The second day builds on the knowledge gained earlier, focusing on advanced management strategies and decision-making in complex clinical situations. The morning sessions address post-resuscitation care, emphasizing return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) management, airway protection, and transfer to intensive care.
Participants then engage in full-scale cardiac arrest simulations, practicing leadership, teamwork, and situational awareness under pressure. Special sessions highlight cardiac arrest in special circumstances such as trauma, pregnancy, hypothermia, and anaphylaxis — challenging learners to adapt their approach to diverse emergency contexts.
The final part of the course includes both practical and theoretical assessments, following ERC’s standardized evaluation methods. Each participant is individually assessed in a simulated resuscitation scenario, followed by a multiple-choice knowledge test.
The course concludes with a closing session and certificate presentation, recognizing participants’ achievement of the internationally respected ERC ALS Provider status.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize and respond to cardiac arrest and peri-arrest conditions effectively
- Perform high-quality CPR and manage the airway using advanced techniques
- Deliver defibrillation and administer emergency medications safely
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team during resuscitation
- Provide evidence-based post-resuscitation care according to ERC guidelines
